BATH HOUSE
& MOUNTAIN GARDEN
A house for slowness at two thousand metres. Twelve saunas, four waters, one long exhale.
Twelve saunas, four waters and one long exhale, two thousand metres above the sea. We keep the lights low, the voices lower, and the phones outside. What happens here is simple — heat, cold, rest, repeat — until the body remembers itself.
— ნამი, dew. The water that arrives without a sound.
900 candles, lit at dusk.
Nami stands where the Adjarian road stops climbing, on the Goderdzi Pass. The shell was a 1930s weather station in stone and larch; we kept the walls and let everything else go quiet: oiled walnut, basalt lifted from the Ajaristsqali riverbed, linen the colour of wet sand, brass that is allowed to age.
Nothing here is polished to a shine. Warmth is the only decoration — a strip of light behind a screen, a fire that is never fully out, steam that finds the ceiling and comes back down as rain. Outside, weather that changes its mind twice an hour.

Adjarian honey and coarse salt worked into the skin in the low steam room, rinsed with cold rain.

Cold-pressed walnut and bay laurel, warmed to body temperature, applied slowly and left to be absorbed.

Eight degrees, chest deep, thirty seconds. Breathe out longer than you breathe in. Then the fire room.
